STRENGTHENING THE CONNECTION
TO THE COMMUNITY
Southwest Educational Partners for Training (SWEPT) provides New Mexico with a workforce training strategy to get employers the staff they will need to maintain, grow, and build new enterprises.
Through its Great Strides Workforce Program, SWEPT acts as a “labor market intermediary,” identifying employers who offer good-paying jobs with benefits and a path to a career. SWEPT then pairs participants from the community with educational partners and relevant training, facilitating a connection between a potential employee and an employer to ensure the training meets the need.
Employers get pre-screened and trained; employees and participants get access to long-term training programs.
