The SWEPT Process:

  • Participants may walk in or be referred by high school, adult education programs, higher education, businesses, community health programs, religious organizations, non-profits, residential programs, social service agencies, governmental programs or workforce solutions.
  • SWEPT staff process each referral and assess each participant to find their best career pathway.
  • SWEPT identifies and enrolls the students in various long-term training programs, working closely with Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) as the chief training institution.
  • While the enrolled participant works on their education, SWEPT identifies employers who can commit to hiring program participants for good-paying jobs, with benefits and opportunity for upward mobility. In return for their commitment, these employers get pre-screened employees trained to their specifications.
