Participants may walk in or be referred by high school, adult education programs, higher education, businesses, community health programs, religious organizations, non-profits, residential programs, social service agencies, governmental programs or workforce solutions.
SWEPT staff process each referral and assess each participant to find their best career pathway.
SWEPT identifies and enrolls the students in various long-term training programs, working closely with Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) as the chief training institution.
While the enrolled participant works on their education, SWEPT identifies employers who can commit to hiring program participants for good-paying jobs, with benefits and opportunity for upward mobility. In return for their commitment, these employers get pre-screened employees trained to their specifications.
